Dina Andrews aka ‘The Pink Cowgirl’ is a country & folk singer/songwriter from Jersey in the Channel Islands. She won the top prize Gold from the, International Singer-Songwriters' Association (ISSA) awards in Atlanta, Georgia this year 2019 in the category of "International Female Songwriter Of The Year" and is also a finalist in the “Josie Awards” in the same category in Dollywood in September!
Dina has played guitar since 10 years old & has been seriously songwriting (mainly country style songs) for the past 8 years. Her early influences are singer/songwriters like Gordon Lightfoot & Chris Kristofferson and more recently, the likes of Keith Urban, Alison Krauss & Chris Stapleton.
Her 1st album “Complicated” was released last year in 2018, has been very well received and played worldwide. Her songs soon got noticed, recorded & released by ‘Paramount Song’ in Nashville, sung by Dina or by various vocalists. She has performed many times in the Channel Isles and has played several live sessions on BBC Radio Jersey. A philanthropist at heart she has used her music to support several local charities and has organised & performed at many fund-raising shows, as well as donating all proceeds from her 1st single release to ‘The Jersey Brain Tumour Charity’.
Dina also presents a one-hour weekly DJ slot as ‘The Pink Cowgirl’ on Wigan based country music digital radio show ‘Red Rose Country’.... available every Sunday on ‘Mixcloud’
